I'm looking for a position that allows me to make a difference in someone's day to day life, through care with dignity. I started caring for seniors when I was in my 20's doing private care that allowed me a second income. Since then I have learned to work with a wide range of medical conditions as well as medical equipment. I have experience with both mechanical transfers and physical transfers as well as draw sheets and other tools used for safe comfortable transfers. I believe the role of a care giver includes care, dignity and respect . I prefer to have an open line of communication and believe each client is as individual as are their care needs. While hands on experience is key to providing care I also believe in continuing education. I am scheduled for my PSS certification in mid September. Once that is completed I will enroll is a first aid/CPR class as my previous certification has lapsed.
