About Marisa

I am a part-time babysitter/nanny originally from Chicago and (happily!) relocated to sunny San Diego, CA. I have over 11+ years of experience in caring for children of all ages (as young as 2 months and as old as high school!). I am also a Master-level educator with a teaching license and expertise in English/Language Arts & Reading. I am available for part-time childcare (primarily date nights), tutoring, and softball instruction/lessons. I have worked for hundreds of families and at several daycares in California, suburban Chicago, and northern Iowa. Outside of nannying, I run a tutoring and educational services business as well as a content creation business. I have a clean background, excellent driving record, 2016 vehicle, and can provide a safe, friendly, and hands-on environment for your child(ren). I believe in games, activities, and active involvement are essential to being an effective caregiver!
