I am able to quickly build relationships with clients. I learn new skills and gain knowledge as I encounter various cases of each client. I support clients with recreational activities and am able to work within unpredictable circumstances. I can remain calm in difficult situations and support others at the same time. I help patients to dress and undress, chaperone and escort patients on their doctor appointments, and enjoy storytelling with clients. I have worked with clients with Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and cancers. I am capable of providing confidentiality, dignity and privacy to patients. I am fully aware and respectful of a patients' rights, as well as their religious and cultural beliefs. I can take and record the client's temperature, pulse and respiration. I also carry out general tasks such as housework, laundry and shopping. I help clients with transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, meals and medication. I have the ability to record patient observation accurately and report any issues of concerns. I have good verbal, written and communication skills along with an excellent telephone manner. I have good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards. I can calmly deal with anxious or aggressive clients and think quickly and solve problems as they arrive.
