About Mary Katharine

I find much inspiration in working with children! My college education in Occupational Therapy included pediatric courses that provided me with a strong theoretical foundation in child development and psychology. I also have much childcare experience: -Working as a classroom aide for children with special needs (ages 6-7) -Babysitting 5 days a week for a family of three (ages 3, 5, 7) -Babysitting a 4-month-old 3 days/week for a summer -Working as a YMCA camp counselor and aftercare employee (for ages 4-5 and 7-10) -Completing a clinical rotation in a pediatric out patient clinic (ages 2-16) -Teaching arts & crafts at a nature-based summer camp (ages 7-17) I respect parental preferences and follow their lead in matters such as household rules and communication styles. I am open to consistent or occasional babysitting, whichever you need! I'm available 3-4 days a week (any days). I'm free the rest of this summer and through Nov - Jan of this year.
