I'd describe myself as calm, nurturing, and fun-loving. I like working with kids because I love seeing children develop into their best self. I enjoy guiding children to use their imagination and learn from everyday experiences and play. As a parent and educator, I enjoy seeing children grow and thrive. Working with children allows me to see their growth firsthand. I'm looking for a job that will provide me with extra income when school is out, as well as occasional work during school holidays. I have more than 25 years of experience working with children. I have two children, a son in college and a daughter in 7th grade. In my spare time, I like to play piano, read, take walks, do word puzzles, and watch my children play sports. My child care skills include: 1) encouraging creative arts, physical activity, & reading. 2) providing a structured environment that also gives opportunities to make positive choices. 3) helping children learn to manage & express emotions in a healthy way.
