About Matilda

Hi I'm Matilda! I'm 22. I have babysat since I was 14 and taught swim lessons for 4 years. In my hometown I managed a community pool, worked as a lifeguard, and taught swim lessons. I am AED, CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard, and Swim Instructor certified. I have a completely open schedule due to being laid off indefinitely. I'm comfortable with up to four kids and as young as 9 months. I have a limited working proficiency in Spanish, enough to introduce kids to it and get myself around Spanish speaking countries pre-pandemic. I think my favorite thing about child care is listening to/seeing what each specific child is passionate about! The way kids talk about the things they love warms my soul. That being said reading, crafts, sports and making up imaginary games with kids are my specialties! I've also been known to get kids I babysit into listening to The Beatles. I have reliable transportation and a drivers license. I live in North Portland. I do not smoke.
