About Maya

I'd describe my personality as creative, resilient, and reliable. I like working with kids because their unbridled joy and imagination is infectious. I'm looking for a job that allows flexibility and helps others. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I worked with a program through the Bureau of Land Management that taught elementary school children environmental science. I also babysat for many family friends throughout my teen years and college career. In my spare time, I like to read, make art, and hang out with my cat. One thing you should know about me is that I have a degree in art education and studio art. During college, I worked with elementary and middle schools teaching art classes. My skills include attentiveness, patience, and empathy.
