About Maya

I'd describe my personality as patient, empathetic, loving. I like working with kids because I love to be around children but it is too early in my life to have my own. I hope I can make a difference in at least just one child's life. I'm looking for a job that is flexible because I am pursuing a degree at UCSD full-time. I started working with kids when my sister started to have children. I loved caring for them and have learned a lot as they have grown up. In my spare time, I like to study, crochet, and paint. One thing you should know about me is that I am very understanding. If your child has a disability or just has unique circumstances, I like care for them patiently and lovingly. My skills include patience, redirecting behaviors, and explaining large concepts.
