About Mckala

Hi! I am heading in to my senior year of college at Anderson University where I am studying Spanish and hope to continue on in my education to either receive a degree in education or social work. I am CPR/AED and First Aid Certified and I have done extensive training as well as taken college courses on child development. I always come prepared with a mix of fun and educational activities to keep kids active and learning. I have been a summer nanny and babysitter for 9 years. I am on my second year of working at the Champaign Y, I also taught Sunday School and led various children programs at my church for 5 years. I have cared for children ranging from ages between Newborn and 13 years of age and groups up to 15 kids at a time. I also have 4 years of tutoring experience in reading, English, Spanish, mathematics, and science (specifically biology and chemistry). I think it is of the utmost importance to foster a safe and fun environment for children to grow and learn.
