About Megan

Hello! My name is Megan and I am a current Social Work graduate student at Columbia University, I am also a recent graduate from the University of North Texas where I received my bachelors in Social Work and minor in Psychology. During this past year I worked as a full time social work intern at a middle school and also as a part time after school care provider for a different middle school. I have paid experience with children between the ages of 6 months to 14 years old, I am also the oldest of 4 with my youngest sibling being 8 years old. During my internship I gave students supportive guidance, access to resources for themselves and their families, and advocated for them. My after school job was split into three sections the first being homework time to help students achieve passing grades, team build activities to help their social emotional learning, and finishing the night off were clubs until their parents came to pick them up.
