About Megan

I have an extensive background in childcare. I have a degree in Early Childhood PK-4 and Special Education PK-12. I am currently a first grade teacher and this is my third year teaching. Previously, I worked with various elementary aged groups as a summer camp counselor and day care provider at a Youth Program. I'd describe my personality as nurturing, patient, and calm I like working with kids because I love their levels or energy and curiosity for the world because it allows me to teach them new things. I'm looking for a job that I can continue being able to work with kids while I am off from teaching school in the summer. I started working with kids in high school through volunteer events. This led me to go to college to become an elementary teacher and also work as a summer camp counselor, day care provider, and after school tutor. In my spare time, I like to go for hikes, draw or paint, bake, and go to the gym.
