About Melanie

I have 20+ years of experience caring for children of all ages, including 2. 5 years of experience caring for children dealing with severe emotional trauma, mental illness, developmental delays, variations of neurodivergence, and physical disabilities at a domestic violence shelter as a supportive counselor/advocate. In addition to child care, I'm able to provide pet care, tutoring (ELA grades 4-college, math grades 4-7, Acting/Drama grades K-professional), transportation, meal prep, light housekeeping, and overnight care as needed. I feel that I am a unique fit for most families in that I have certain standout qualities and skills other caregivers do not. As an actor, I'm creative and playful by nature. Therefore, I can easily limit screens by integrating more improvisational play into our activities, building effective communication and problem-solving skills, as well as higher self-esteem. Not to mention, we have a blast!
