About Michael

I am a licensed Elementary and Special Education Teacher. I have been working in the public school systems (Marlboro, Jackson, Middletown, Hazlet) for the past 2 years primarily as an in-class resource teacher. I have used many different programs in my experiences including but not limited too Pearson envision and investigations, Wilson Foundations, Being a Reader/Writer, and Reader and Writer's workshop. I put forth a student centered philosophy to education where I aim to meet the student at their current learning level and modify/accommodate material to each student's individual needs. I believe in the scaffolding method to education where I provide accommodations to students and gradually take away the accommodations (scaffolds) as the student progress through the lesson/unit. I also promise to make content engaging for students.
