Hello everyone! I have had much experience with children of all age groups. I started babysitting in 2003 age 13, and have helped out many families since then (several from care. com!). From the years 2006-2010, I worked as a counselor and senior staff member at a summer camp for kids (ages 4-16) with juvenile diabetes. Working with and caring for children has always been a passion of mine, which allowed me to become a successful supervisor and responsible role model for each of the campers I cared for over the course of 5 weeks. I myself have Type 1 diabetes, and was able to use my past experience of diabetes management to create a positive atmosphere for children to have fun while still providing a safe environment. Michelle was one of my students and by far one of the best I have had in my 10 years of teaching. She and I have continued to be in touch long after her graduation because she is such a special person. It would be impossible to list all of her positive qualities in this recommendation.
