Hello, my name is Mirka and am currently in the process of becoming an occupational therapy assistant. I have experience in assisting with daily activities of living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal prepping, and medication management. A big reason why I did go into the OT field was because my grandfather. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I saw first hand just how much this affected him and the people who loved him. I decided then that I wanted to help older adults by bringing empathetic, compassionate care and companionship. I have experience as a pharmacy technician, so I am comfortable with medications.
