Hello!! I look forward to meeting you and helping with your fam. I have my PhD in Education (I have focused my studies on early childhood development, montessori & waldorf methods & active, experiential learning) and am looking to bring in some temporary extra income while I go back on the job market, as my organization just had to do layoffs. I have been babysitting since I was 13 (I'm 41 now) & was a mothers helper & caretaker since waaay before then, since I am the 2nd oldest of 5 kids & have 3 younger brothers I've been doing childcare for as long as I can remember. I was a lifeguard through hs & college & love swimming & being at the beach. I also believe it's really important to be active & constructive in getting our energy out. I love playing & taking hikes outside, exploring nature & teaching about it in savvy ways, making art & crafting, going on cultural excursions (to museums, science centers, fairs & special events, etc.) & cooking.

Monica is a gem! We have a very hectic household with two full time working parents, and her flexibility was life saving. During a family emergency, she dropped everything to stay with the kids so we hop on a last minute plane. She is fabulous with the kids (age 1 and 3), keeping them engaged and excited through the day while sticking to their routines. I can't say enough wonderful things about Monica and would happily provide a reference to whomever her lucky next family will be!
