About Monique

I am a seven year teacher who loves working with children. I just recently completed my first year of teaching first grade, but have 6 years of experience in third grade. Last summer, I helped facilitate a summer school/ camp experience at my school with a mixed age range group of students. I also have tutored students in math, spelling, language arts, and reading. While I do enjoy teaching academics I also enjoy creating fun arts and crafts, as well as conducting exciting science experiments. Not only do I have experience in the classroom with large whole groups, but I also have had many years of experience babysitting within the family and neighbors. I am very patient, caring, and responsible. I understand how important it is to create not only a safe environment for children, but also a welcoming, engaging, and positive experience in any setting.
