I have my bachelor's degree in social work and I am motivated to work with vulnerable populations, ensuring dignity and inclusivity for people in the community. I am currently a volunteer with a hospice/palliative care company providing companionship care and 13th hour visits. It has been a huge privilege and honor to gain experience with this population of both hospice and aging patients. I enjoy engaging in motivational interviewing, listening to life stories, and listening to music with them. One of my favorite things I got to do was compile information and write a life story for a loved one. As of recent, I have been hired to check in a few times a week with my great aunt who is in her 90's and has dementia. I observe and document her decline, as well as provide companionship and see that all her needs are being met.
