About Mya

I first began working with children from family and friend babysitting jobs. They have always been the best jobs as children are always so lively and creative. Once I could, I began volunteering every June for a Christian organized children's camp in Felton, CA to be a camp counselor. I volunteered for this organization, Opportunity Camp, for about 7 years consecutively. My first real job turned out to be a children's swim instructor at my local gym. This was my most exciting job as everyday my students were so excited to be there and I was so excited to see their continued progress in the pool. Throughout all these experiences I have looked over kiddos ranging from the young ages of 6 months to the tween ages of 13. I love working with children because they always have a great way of making you laugh at the most random things all while letting you look at the simplest things in your day with a little more delight.
