Licensed Practical Nurse. I am a loving and caring person with 8 years of experience. I m looking for a full- or part-time job during the day, evening or overnight. I've been working in a long-term care facility for 8 years now which was my first job since I graduated from school. I have worked with all kinds of clients wit different ailments from rehabilitation to Alzheimer's and psychiatric, including hospice. I have also worked as a home care nurse. I worked 10 years previously in a hospital setting as a patient care technician. I have good bed side manners; I am respectful and honest. I have experience in timely administration of medication; monitoring for adverse effects of medications; checking vital signs; wound care; assessing clients for changes; IV therapy; tube feeding; trachea care; and hospice care. I can also prepare meals, help with activities of daily living, and more. I am the mother of a 19-year-old daughter who's currently in college, and of 2 adopted daughters. I'm a christian and I really love to help people. I'm very pleasant and family oriented. I speak English, French and Haitian Creole. I was in school to become an RN, but I stopped this semester.
