I am an enthusiastic tutor with 2 years of experience working at a learning center in Boston and 2 years offering one-on-one Test Prep and writing sessions as a freelance tutor. I have worked with students age 6-19 on writing, reading comprehension and analysis, SAT and ACT preparation, and college essays. I also have experience working with students for whom English is not their first language. I have a BA degree in English Literature from Boston College and an MFA in Fiction from Brooklyn College (2021) where I served as a tutor intern for an undergraduate composition course. At Brooklyn College, I took a pedagogy practicum course on teaching and supporting students throughout their writing process. I will begin teaching an undergraduate composition course at Brooklyn College as an adjunct instructor in the fall.
