Natalie was great, until she wasn't... She worked for our family for almost 4 months, and was polite, respectful of my wishes and seemed to really care about our little boy. However, when she was hired, she told me that she takes her college classes on Tue/Thur and would be continuing with that schedule at least for the fall semester and hopefully beyond that, so she was able to commit to us for almost a full year. Upon checking her references, I was told she was looking for a "summer job", and when I asked her about that, she assured me that her reference just assumed that because she only worked for her for a summer, and her plan was to stick with us through school. Then, just as her fall semester started, I received a text, not even a phone call, to inform me that suddenly she had to take classes on Mon/Wed/Fri and would no longer be working for us, with no notice of her departure. Very disappointed to end on that note with someone I thought cared for our family.
