About Nathaniel

I'm a former elementary school teaching assistant looking to do some work in childcare while I'm in grad school. I love working with kids. I love their limitless imaginations, resiliency, tenderness, kindness, their incredibly genuine nature. I appreciate the difficulties too. I've had very direct experience at my job guiding and teaching kids to work within expected behavior frameworks while still encouraging them to be themselves and play. I've worked with small group interventions with math and reading, was part of the monthly outdoor games club, ran a three hour drum circle at field day, did weekly 1 on 1 mentoring sessions, & performed the difficult dual role of friend and enforcer during lunch duty. More recently I've been working with kids in the 2-4 range also. I love music, reading, hiking, basketball, board games, legos, climbing, and having wacky conversations with tiny people. I value safety, inclusivity, and mutual respect. And I am so down to play.
