I'd describe my personality as caring, easygoing, and good-spirited. I like working with animals because I have grown up around a variety of animals and have many pets of my own. I enjoy being around animals (besides cockroaches!) and I consider myself to be very good with them. I considered veterinary work for a long time before I declared my current major. Since I was born, there have always been pets in my house. However I started being paid to petsit and feed/walk dogs when I was only 13 years old. Besides cats and dogs, I have fed and cleaned for guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, geckos, one snake, and a tortoise.
