About Nidia

I started working with kids my senior year of high school. I was a part of the program PALs ( Peer Assistance and Leadership) where I was paired up with elementary kids that their counselor believed could use a friend or role model that they perhaps couldn't get elsewhere. After that, I knew I loved working with kids and making an impact in their lives. During my first year of college, I was involved in an organization that was focused on youth ministry where we led worship nights, bible studies, and meaningful conversations with young teens. In the summer of 2018, I was able to work as a camp counselor for 6 to 12-year-olds & I couldn't imagine spending my summer elsewhere. For the past three years, I have worked at a high school as a general clerk and I interact with students daily. I loved getting to know the kids and making wonderful memories. Through these experiences I grew a lot of patience, but the most rewarding part of it all is being able to build meaningful relationships.
