Position purpose: To assist older and disabled adults at home (age in place) for as long as possible, and to support their family caregivers by providing needed in-home care (personal and domestic). Essential job functions: * Perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, cleaning, dusting, * Assist with laundry and bed linen changes. * Assist clients with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, bathing, and toileting as needed. * Prepare meals, clean up the kitchen, and perform menu planning and meal preparation for later use. * Provide medication reminders. * Inform home care program manager of emerging client problems or needs. * Maintain a safe home environment in compliance with the home care program's policies. * Provide companionship and protective supervision as needed. * Respectfully as a person ages and their independence and mental capacities. Good interpersonal and communication are essential for families.
