I recently moved from NC where I did home care for 3 years with a woman who had vascular dementia. She was a wheelchair patient, but had her use walker when it could be tolerated. I assisted with daily routines, hygiene, meal prep, light housekeeping, doing wash, transportation etc. Administered oral meds. Vital signs. I worked as an LPN from 1971 to 1981 in nursing homes then deciding to be a stay at home mom. So I am comfortable with changing dressings and having clients who are incontinent. Throughout the years I filled in doing senior care for a friend who is an LPN.
