When I was in kindergarten my teacher said I was a natural born leader - always caring for the children in the class - wiping noses, consoling when crying, tying shoes.... I started babysitting at age 14 and made money to make my own clothes. I always was considered the best babysitter anyone ever had - the kids I babysat for were newborns up to 12. Now I am a nana for my three grandchildren whom I love dearly. I had three children of my own - one of which was handicapped and I worked at AHRC (now ARC) with handicapped children and also volunteered to teach children in kindergarten to learn to read. I always wanted to be a teacher. I have helped many elderly with getting to the doctor, shopping, etc (unpaid). I have a tremendous amount of energy, patience and nurturing for both young and old.
