I do not have any professional experience as a caregiver. However, my mother and I lived together after she was diagnosed with dementia. I drove her to appointments, bought groceries and whatever else she needed, helped her use the bathroom (and later diapers) and her personal care, cooked meals, took her for walks, watched TV shows and movies with her, and, most importantly, spoke to her and spent quality time with her. My goal was to love her, reassure her, and make her happy in any way I could. Unfortunately, my mom passed away suddenly in May 2020. I love her and miss her so much. I would like to be able to help and care for someone the way I did for my mom.
