About Peter

My name is Peter and I am very excited to help your student with math this summer! I am currently a math teacher at Upper Darby High School where I am certified in 7-12 Grade Math. I currently teach Algebra 1 and Finance. Prior to Upper Darby, I taught in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, where I had two years of experience teaching 4-8 math. In my three years of experience, I learned how to adapt each lesson to meet the visual, auditory, spatial, or other needs of the students in order to ensure each student is given the greatest opportunity to comprehend the material. I have learned how implement differentiation techniques to break down information in smaller parts for the struggling student and to challenge and push the excelling students. I have gained experience in developing patience in a frustrated student, confidence in a timid student, more consistency in a bright student and trust in an anxious student. Most of all, I have learned that I have found my calling in teaching!
