About Rachel

Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a fourth year at UC Davis. I have worked professionally with children for two years at an elementary school. My position was an extended care worker in which I was responsible for monitoring the children's lunches and their playtime on the playground both during and afterschool. I worked with children ages five to 11. I am skilled in affectively, respectfully, and compassionately disciplining them when necessary, as well as engaging in activities to ensure they have an enjoyable experience when I'm watching them. Additionally, I have watched children of relatives, which has proved to be beneficial in building experience in this field and cultivating skills to work with them, but working in a more professional setting with them has greatly helped how I work and take care of them for effectively.
