I have been teaching middle and previously high school English for the past three years. I have taught in both public and Charter schools to students of ages ranging from 10-18. In my day-to-day job, I have experience with one-on-one and small group tutoring, specifically with students that are reading and writing below grade level. I have tutored students reading at grade levels ranging from 2nd grade to high school. I thoroughly enjoy working one-on-one with students, helping them set (and meet!) goals related to reading and writing. I have learned that many students who struggle with reading do so because it is not something they readily enjoy. I have found joy in helping students find a love of reading and also improve along the way!
