About Rebecca

Hi! I am a certified teacher with 6 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have tutoring students from Kindergarten to 4th grade in math, reading, and writing. I have a master's degree in special education, and am working on my second master's in remedial reading. I am also obtaining my Orton Gillingham certification to teach structure literacy to students with dyslexia and other reading exceptionalities. I provide explicit, individualized instruction with frequent progress monitoring. I include fun, engaging activities and a consistent routine so students can feel successful in their learning. I am happy to provide progress reports for you and your child's teacher as needed! I like tutoring because working with students in a smaller setting and seeing their growth is what makes me love what I do. In my spare time, I like to read, sit outside, spend time with my family, and play with my 3 cats and puppy.
