About Rosena

I attended the University of South Florida and graduated with a Psychology degree. I then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I have tutored children from 4-16 years of age. I have been trained on how to work with students in different aspects of their college experience. With a group at school, I helped provide a good tutoring experience for college students. I also provided information about the program to many different students who did not know of the program. Last, I monitored students' progress based on their feedback and tutors' feedback and student's grades. I was also trained to work with students who were the first member of their family to go to college as a Peer Mentor. The program was structured to give these students extra support as they earn their degree. I was positioned to help provide a more positive experience for them in order to decrease their dropout rate, because of lack of information, lack of communication with the University or motivation, and to be a mediator when conflicts arise.
