About Samantha

I have 4 years of experience in a daycare setting and have been babysitting for 6 years. I have a 4-year-old son of my own as well. I have my associates and I am working toward my bachelor's degree in elementary education. I am a special education paraprofessional for grades K-4. I practice positive discipline and co-regulation techniques to maintain a nurturing environment in which children's physical, emotional, and social needs are met. I actively listen to the needs and concerns of children in my care. I hope to teach children problem-solving skills, coping strategies, and encourage them to express their feelings in healthy ways. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, imagination, and cognitive growth. I am able to assist with light housekeeping and prepare healthy meals and snacks. Overall, I love to care for children and help them learn through play.
