My journey with childcare began many years ago- I babysat my parents friends'/coworkers children, & neighborhood kids. Then I started work as a teacher's aid between two age groups (Infant II [12 mo-24 mo] & School Age [6 to 12 yrs]). After two years at the center, I left and started nannying. The job duties varied from transportation needs, date nights, scheduled days, meal-prepping, light housework, etc. I stopped nannying entirely to prioritize growth in my professional career. I worked as a Nursing Technician at a pediatric hospital on the hematology/oncology floor for 5 years. I'm now a data manager for pediatric oncology clinical trials. Though I am no longer patient/pediatric-facing, I still very much so am comfortable with my skills and capabilities with children. My BLS (CPR) for pediatrics and adults is current to date and am working to renew my first aid certificate. I'm primarily looking for jobs on the weekends and weekday (evenings).
