I have never had a profession job taking care of the elderly. However, I helped take care of my grandfather. I helped check and monitor his weight and blood pressure everyday which was transmitted to the hospital. I helped give medication as he suffered from Parkinson's. I also helped give him his insulin and checked his blood sugar. During meals we added a thickening agent to drinks as he had a hard time swallowing.
