About Sela

My first experience caring for a senior was with my mother. When she was 70 she suffered a stroke, and needed 24/7 care. I decided to take care of her in my own home, because I felt like no one could care for my mother the way I could as her daughter. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience caring for my mother for five years until her passing. About a decade later I went through the same thing with my father, and cared for him for the next few years until his passing. Taking care of my parents has helped me become a better caregiver, because I know what I would want for my parents if I had not been able to care for them myself. I know that truly caring for a senior and providing companionship can be just as important as knowing how to take care of their health. I've worked privately and with agencies over the years, and I have learned a lot from each person I have cared for, and I hope to provide that knowledge and experience as I continue to care for other seniors.
