About Shakia

My name is Shakia. My family has called Texas home for the last 11 years, during which I have served as an in-home day care provider and science teacher. I am First Aid and CPR Certified, and have passed the Background checks through the Texas Department of Family Protective Services. I am a certified teacher in early childhood education through six grade, have a Master of Arts in Teaching degree, and 25 years experience teaching and caring for young children. Additionally, As a mother of four children and educator I am aware of the great need for quality early childhood education. My goal is to provide children a strong educational foundation in a nurturing home environment. Your child's early childhood experiences provide a foundation of success for years to come. My number one priority is to instill a love of learning and to provide a caring, enriched, hand's on learning environment for each child, with an emphasis on development of the whole child.
