We hired Shalana on a Friday to start on Monday, and she messaged us late Sunday afternoon that she interviewed with another family and decided to go with them. While we can appreciate finding a great match in a family, we received no indication that she was still looking and interviewing after our agreement on Friday, even after asking questions like "how does this sound?", "Does this work for you?", etc. The way the situation was handled was disrespectful as having any indication would have saved us valuable time in finding childcare.
