About Shawna

I'm a responsible, kind, and dependable mother of two teenagers. I am a licensed therapist with my own practice. I am trained in Nurturing Parenting and I have worked with children, families, and adults in my career as a therapist. My experience with childcare consists of babysitting in my teenage years for various families with children of many ages, watching my former sister-in-law's kids so often that I felt they were my own, and raising my own two kids (which has involved many sleepovers with kids ranging in age from 4 to 11). I am a very competent caregiver. I love children, I am extremely patient, silly, nurturing, cheerful, and reliable. I am anti-spanking, and I tend to use kind-but-firm discipline methods. I can help with homework for older children as well. I can also provide character references if needed.
