Florida Waterman Hospital Eustis, FL Phlebotomist As a Phlebotomist I worked night shifts from 11pm-7 a.m. collecting STATS, Time studies and routine labs from the ER to the sixth floor. I would see between 30-40 patients a shift. I quickly learned what each test being run was for and was able to explain these tests to each patient while efficiently collecting tubes of blood. Morning run was between 5am-7 a.m. I personally saw between 20-30 patients alone during these hours. I was able to quickly adapt to the computer program and was in and out of a patients room in no less than 2 minutes (as long as there were no problems). Drawing blood is a passion of mine. Prior to this I spent 9 years as a retinal photographer, assisted our Ophthalmologist and worked up patients. I have been in the medical field since I was 19. I love to care for patients, listen to them and help them in anyways I can. I am patient, empathetic and happy to help.
