About Shelley D

I am a 'retired' dental hygienist. I loved my job working with and caring for patients. I have medical knowledge and am CPR certified. I am used to providing professional care and interacting closely with people of all ages. I am also a mother, I have two wonderful grown children. I lived with my grandmother during my college years and we were very close. Years later as her health deteriorated, I helped in her care. I would take her grocery shopping, clothes shopping, to doctor appointments and dialysis. My grandmother was a diabetic and I assisted her by monitoring her blood glucose and giving insulin injections. I am very gentle, compassionate and empathetic. I have a great respect for older people, love listening and engaging them in conversation or an activity.
