Hi, I'm Shilpa and I am currently on a sabbatical from working for the last five years as a Special Day Class Teacher for students with autism and high support needs. I have been missing spending time with children and am looking for a care taking job that will provide me the joy that I have been missing by not being around my students. I have experience working with high support needs children and am knowledgable about first-then token systems, positive behavior support, and visual schedules. I have almost 10 years experience working with neurodivergent students and have hands on experience with feeding, changing, and bathroom needs. As someone who is also neurodivergent it is really rewarding and satisfying working with neurodivergent students. I am very open and willing to talk about my experiences and see if I can be the right fit for you and your family!
