About Sierra

Hello, My name is Sierra. I'm a 21-year-old asynchronous college student who tutors full time. I'm an engineering major and I specialize in tutoring Math and English for kids from pre k through 8th grade. I've tutored children in math for 2 years in high school at Riverdale Neighborhood House, and most recently I've tutored freshman at my educational institution. Experience tutoring child with special needs. I also have experience in the arts and physical education. I've worked as an aid for an art teacher at World View High School. I've also taught gym (health and fitness) at a county summer camp in Delaware. Tutoring kids is one of my passions. I love to see them grow and expand there knowledge. I pride myself on showing patience and understanding to the children I tutor. Methodology - I focus on using real world concepts by teaching through images/demonstration. I also like to use a reward model providing stickers and other incentives as motivation.
