About Sophie

I am a Junior at Ithaca College studying Occupational Therapy, and I LOVE children! I have been a camp counselor for kids ages 10-13, but because I need to take a summer class, I will be in Ithaca for the summer and I'd love to have kids to keep me smiling through my Anatomy class. I can work with kids ages 4 and up! I am very fun to be around! I'm friendly and I'm good at getting through to kids even if they are shy. I also am very good with Spanish as I lived in Spain for a semester, so if Spanish is your first language I am also very qualified to work with kids with special needs. I have a twin brother on the autistic spectrum and an older sister with a rare neurological disorder called Rett Syndrome. I have been a Special Olympics coach for a tennis team with athletes with special needs including Autism, Down's Syndrome, and Asperger's. Also, I could not specify this in the schedule, but the availability I put down only applies for May 22nd-June 29th. For all of July, I am available any time!
