About Sophie

Hello there! I've worked in early childhood education for over five years as a head teacher and specialized in care between the ages of 6 weeks to 3 years. Outside of the classroom, I have over 10 years of experience babysitting and nannying for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 8 years. My love for working with young children has always revolved around wanting to support and guide a child's learning and development. It is beyond rewarding to watch a child learn something new, whether that be learning a new way their body can move (crawl, pull to stand, walk, etc.) or accomplishing a skill or task that the child has been working so hard on. Engaging children in play-based learning, while encouraging exploration, curiosity, and problem-solving skills is what I do best. Whether it be dramatic play, arts and crafts, reading, or exploring outside, I am always able to turn a child's interest into an activity that will promote learning and development!
