About Susan

There is a special place in my heart for those who need personal attention and care. Our elderly deserve respect, kindness, and patience as they have had a lifetime of caring for others. I believe in making every day wonderful as we go through a safe and consistent routine with mutual respect, taking time to laugh, have fun and enjoy our time together. When appropriate, I look for opportunities that encourage involvement in their own care so they keep a sense of independence, self-worth and dignity. I have lovingly cared for elderly clients with various degrees of dementia and others with physical challenges including Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, partial paralysis, and 13 years with Special Needs children and young adults. I am most interested in part time work that may include meals (b'fast & lunch), meds, light housekeeping, cards, board games, teaching knitting or engaging the client in simple crafts.
