My most recent full time position was as a live-in companion And caregiver for a woman who had Alzheimer's and cancer. Prior to that, I was a live-in companion and caregiver for a 96-year-old woman. My help included: dressing, showering, meal preparation, reminding to take medications, exercises, putting in hearing aids, daily walks, occasional doctor and dentist appointments, grocery shopping, laundry, and light housekeeping. In the past I cared for an elderly diabetic gentleman. Duties included keeping a blood sugar log, remaining him to take medications, taking him to dialysis with a wheel chair, doctor's appointments, laundry, light housework, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and errands.
