About Thalia

Hi! I'm Thalia, a 20-year-old from Cuba and currently a Lake Forest College student living in Highland Park. I have extensive experience caring for animals. Since I was very little, I've always been surrounded by animals. Back in Cuba, my mom and I would rescue many cats and dogs, and we've always had at least five cats at home. I've also volunteered for over two years with animal shelters such as Orphans of the Storm, taking foster cats with medical needs home until they find their forever one. This experience, along with my intent to become a vet after college, makes me comfortable working with animals with medical needs and following care prescribed by doctors. This lifelong experience has made me very patient and responsible, with a deep understanding of the skills and commitment required to care for pets.
